For the second Sunday on the trot our ladies took to the green in the national top club competition after defeating St Martins last week it was the turn of Aylesbury Town to visit Bletchley.
In the singles Donna flew out of the blocks with a 3 and a 4 in the first 7 ends to take a 13-2 lead she then dropped a 3 and a 1 to make it 13-6 before clinically demolishing her opponent 21-7 in just 14 ends.
The Triple of Brookes Scott and Rose had a really tight game on progress but with the scores at 7 all at 10 ends the Bletchley trio picked up a massive 6 to take a 13-7 lead after 11, unfortunately they didn’t manage to win another end and were defeated 13-21
Cheryl Auburn and Lesley Throup dropped singles on the first 2 ends but then unleashed a sequence of counts to win 8 of the next 9 ends to take a massive 19-3 lead honours were pretty even over the remaining ends and the Bletchley pair win 23-12 with an end to spare
In the fours Powell, Benson, Boreham and Drage got off to a steady start leading 10-8 at 8 ends before winning 6 ends on the trot to lead 19-8 with 6 ends to go. Aylesbury picked up 6 shots in the next 4 ends before Bletchley finished the game of with a 1 and a 2 to win 22-14
This win sets up an away clash with either Waddesdon or Hazells in the next round.
Well done girls
