Super Sunday!!
Yesterday was the third week running Bletchley Town members brought back silverware to the club making 2017 very successful.

Semi Final
Our ben triple of Alex Squires Dave Labrum (Sub for Dave Clay) and Dean Brookes, were drawn in the semi-final against Iver heath, Iver took an early lead 5-7 at 6 ends, our boys pulled it back to lead 9-8 at 10 ends and 15-12 at 14 ends, they continued to keep the narrow lead until the Iver skip trailed the jack back for 3 on the 17th end to leave the game hanging in the balance at 16 all. The Town trio held their nerve on the last end to pick up the 1 they needed to take their place in the final.
Final
In the final they were matched up against 3 from Waddesdon skipped by Jamie Richardson. Bletchley flew out of the blocks leading 10-1 after 6 ends and 14-1 after 8 ends, the Waddesdon team started a mini comeback clawing the score back to 14-9 at 12 but our boys “PUSHED ON” to lead 19-10 at 16 ends they picked up 1 on the 17th end to clinch the title

Home Counties Championships @ Bexhill Bowls Club Sussex
Bletchley were represented in the under 25 singles by Jamie Seymour and in the Pairs by Malcolm Pratt and Dave Clay.
Unfortunately Jamie lost 21-20 to Oxfordshire at the semi final stage. Well done to Jamie for reaching this far an being an integral part of the team this season.
Semi Final
Malcolm and Dave, had a comfortable against the Surrey pair in the morning winning 26-19 to book their place in the final.
Final
In the final they were against recent national semi finalists Will Parker and Kevin Alder from the West Witney club in Oxfordshire. In a close game the deadly duo were eventually to strong and recorded a 21-17 victory.
Congratulations to Malcolm and Dave for a wonderful season rewarded with a title at the end of the year.
The year has ended on a high for the club with the opening of the new clubhouse hopefully 2018 can be even better.
