Bowls Round Up

Here is a quick round up of how the early season has started in the competitive matches for Bletchley Town.
Bucks Cup.
Game 1 we faced Wolverton Town, Bletchley started well and won all 4 triples picking up a maximum of 14 points and a big shot difference of 78 shots
Game 2 against local rivals Bletchley St Martins was a lot closer but we managed to pick up the win with 2 winning rinks so 10 points to 4.
Game 3 was against Woburn Sands, the game was pretty close early on but a big push from the boys we managed to pick up maximum points and another 44 shots in the bank.
So with 2 games to go in the group stages we sit top of division 1 tied on points with Stony Stratford but with a superior shot difference.
LSC Shield
We started our London & Southern Counties shield campaign against Newport Pagnell we won on both rinks and the overall score was 54-23.
The second round we were drawn against a Watford based team Herts BC. The Bletchley team were too strong for their opponents and came away with a 66-16 win with the away rink winning 32-6 and the home rink winning 34-16.
Next up we face the winners of Bedfordshire's county champions Luton Town or the Galacticos from Gerrards Cross. Who ever we face it will be a tough game and the supporters will be in for a cracking game.
Ladies Top Club
The ladies have started their national top club with a win over Woburn Sands. The game was in the balance early on but we managed to win the Singles, Pairs and Fours and picked up a draw in the triples so the final score was 3.5 - 0.5
In the next round they will be away to either Wolverton Town or Stony Stratford.
